Tolerance of soybean cultivars to flooding stress in vegetative growth stages

چکیده

Abstract The objective of this work was to evaluate the tolerance soybean (Glycine max) cultivars flooding stress at different growth stages. experiment arranged in a 2x2x5 factorial arrangement, with two sowing dates (October and November), (TECIRGA 6070RR NA 5909 RG), five stages (SE-EM, EM-VC, VC-V2, V2-V4, V6-V8) 2018/2019 2019/2020 crop years. experimental design completely randomized four replicates. For both evaluated cultivars, stage most sensitive soil SE-EM. After seedling emergence, highest reductions leaf area shoot dry matter were observed V2-V4 stage, regardless cultivar, date, year. From V4 onwards, shows higher conditions. However, after TECIRGA cultivar has than RG. Sowing October tends reduce impact on plants.

Flooding tolerance of tomato genotypes during vegetative and reproductive stages

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of flooding on two tomato cultivars and two wild related species. Forty days old tomato plants were subjected to a continuous flooding stress of different durations: 0, 2, 4 and 8 days. Plant pots were placed inside larger plastic pots; they were irrigated with excessive quantity of tap water at 25C so that the level of water above...

Evaluation of Tolerance of Some Soybean Genotypes to Drought Stress

In order to recognize the soybean tolerant genotypes, a greenhouse as factorial experiment was conducted in form of randomized complete block design with three repetition in 2017 in Damavand. The first factor contained 15 soybean genotypes and second factor included two levels of normal irrigation and irrigation disruption in time of podding. The traits included plant height, reproductive ...

Soybean adaptation to water stress at selected stages of growth.

Soybean (Glycine max [L.] Merr. cv Braxton) plants were grown in sandy soil with only natural rainfall (N) or with supplemental irrigation (I). Water-stressed plants grew more extensive root systems, whereas irrigated plants developed larger shoots and smaller root systems. Maximum stomatal apertures were observed at the beginning of each photoperiod. Partial stomatal closure occurred each afte...

Submergence tolerance of some modern rice cultivars at seedling and vegetative stages

Twenty five Sri Lankan modern rice cultivars were screened for submergence tolerance at seedling and vegetative stages. An experiment was carried out at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ruhuna, Mapalana, Kamburupitiya, Sri Lanka during May to September, 2011 according to the randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 4 replicates and each replicate contained 20 plants to evaluate sub...
